The North Castle Police Department received a report shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from a Hissarlik Way resident who reported an older model SUV had just driven in his driveway. Police said the caller stated that a man got out of the SUV and opened the door to his car in the driveway.
According to police, the caller said nothing was taken from inside the vehicle. The suspect got back into the SUV - no make or model was provided - and took off in an unknown direction.
Police said that the complainant declined to have an officer come to his house to make a report at the time of the auto break-in. An officer responded to the scene and canvassed the area for the SUV, but failed to track down the suspect.
